Our concept

Our barre concept combines my favorite elements of international barre studios into one unique workout experience. We focus on strengthening our body and mind by challenging ourselves within the realm of your own ability.

Effective workout
Get the most out of your time spent here. Together, we take good care of our bodies and safely challenge our muscles to grow outside of their comfort zone.

Positive reinforcement
Alongside the body, we train our mind. Not only do we instruct to correct your posture and movements, we also find encouraging and motivating words to make your exercise fun and to help you go the extra mile.

Fun
Your comfort and well-being are the most important to us. We have curated an inspiring and supportive space for all clients. Our mission is that you enjoy working out with us and have the desire to come back regularly for your own benefit.

Our classes

We offer group classes and personal training sessions. In the group classes, you will benefit from the positive group dynamic where clients encourage and inspire each other to reach their personal best. In the personal training session, you will get my all to yourself as I support your unique fitness journey. Personal training sessions are perfectly tailored to your fitness level and goals. We recommend a combination of group classes and personal training sessions.

Our barre classes are effective and fun full body workouts in which we train mostly with bodyweight. Our classes are designed to fit every fitness level as each exercise can be modified to a beginner or advanced level. Nonetheless, they are somewhat challenging as barre targets the small, deep muscles which tire more quickly. So, you will feel a burn and shake in your body during the exercises. Not to worry though, the workout is still low intensity and low impact, meaning it is strength training rather than cardio.

Barre achieves great results in a short amount of time: Toning, long lasting strength, an improved posture and body control as well as better balance. No previous barre, ballet or dancing knowledge required.

Our schedule

Find our class schedules below. Classes in English are marked as „ENG“ on schedule. Personal training sessions are also available in English upon request. You can just book yourself in and let me know in the beginning of the session.

Your first visit

Arrive at least 5 to 10 minutes prior to class.
Lockers and changing room are available. No shower available.

What you need: Grippy socks and water bottle.
What you don’t need: Towel and training shoes.
Good to know: No entry to the studio room with shoes or barefoot. No entry to the studio after the class has started.

About me

Hi, I’m Kathy, the founder of Barre Society. It’s nice to meet you!

I have been a barre instructor for over four years and am personally obsessed with the workout. Having completed several teacher trainings abroad, I combine the highlights of international studios into one unique workout experience at Barre Society. Barre is part of my lifestyle and I can’t imagine my life without it anymore. My great, personal passion for barre is something I wish to share with you at the studio. My goal is to make you enthusiastic about moving your body and ensure that you enjoy working out with us.

From my personal experience, barre is the most challenging and effective workout I have tried. At the same time, it is also the most fun. Reinventing common exercises by incorporating the ballet barre adds a lot of variety to the workout. The slow, controlled movements provide you with greater body control and sustainable muscle strength in a short amount of time.

To me, barre is the perfect blend between strength and flexibility.
